Dr. Hom was raised with the belief and philosophy that the human body has an amazing ability to heal itself. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from UCSD in 1997, and received his Doctorate from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2003. He has trained extensively in Sacro Occipital Technique, Neuro-Emotional Technique, functional nutrition, Craniosacral therapy, Lifestyle Education, and is a certified Applied Kinesiologist. Dr. Hom has dedicated himself to helping others achieve true health through eating well, moving well, and thinking well.

Dr. Hom was born in Hollywood, California and was raised all over the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles county. At an early age his mother introduced him to the sport of competitive swimming due to his weight challenge. He learned first hand that exercise was an essential portion of his lifestyle. Throughout junior high and high school he excelled in swimming and water polo and was a member of 2 C.I.F. Championship teams. His experience and his love for the water led him to UCSD in La Jolla, Ca where he was one of a few freshmen to travel with the UCSD Mens Water Polo Team. After continued hard work and dedication to his team, he was named co-captain and was an integral part of a 3rd place NCAA finish.

His love for sports and science led him to a bachelors degree in biochemistry and cell biology as well as a minor in psychology. After a year of marine biological and human cancer research, Dr. Hom began his internship with a chiropractor from East San Diego and from his very first adjustment, he knew this is what he wanted to dedicate his life to. The philosophy, the art, and the science was in line with everything that he was raised on. 6 months later he started at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.

During chiropractic school, Dr. Hom expanded his knowledge to further empower himself with the art of natural healing. In addition to the rigorous requirements of chiropractic school curriculum, he attended numerous hours of post-graduate seminars in a variety of different fields in order to build a well-rounded foundation for helping people reach greater levels of health. It is this background that enables Dr. Hom to custom tailor his patients adjustments to best suite their needs. Whether you are a elite professional athlete or a 100 year old osteoperotic woman, Dr. Hom has the tools/techniques to help you discover a higher level of wellness.

Prior to graduation, Dr. Hom was awarded an internship working with Dr. Glenn Frieder at the Acacia Health Center. This is where Dr. Hom gained most of his knowledge and experience working side by side with one of the great healers in our field. Dr. Frieder took Dr. Hom "under his wing" and taught him the great lost secrets of the art, science, and philosophy of chiropractic.

After graduation, Dr. Hom continued to work with the team of chiropractors and additional healers at the Acacia Health Center for the next 4 years. One of the other chiropractors in the office was Dr. Joseph DeArmas, who in September 2007 partnered up with Dr. Hom to create the North County Integrative Health Center. Our mission is to be on the forefront of the wellness revolution and to get our community healthy and well, and to keep it there.

Dr. Hom has the vision of creating a better world for us to live in through helping people achieve greater levels of health. When we are expressing full human potential through eating well, moving well, and thinking well, we will see miracles occur and change is inevitable.

Dr. Hom resides in La Jolla, California with his girlfriend Rachel and their 2 cats Sammy and Alley. He enjoys: surfing, swimming, running, hiking, all types of exercise, camping, listening to music, watching movies, reading, personal growth, following a wellness lifestyle, sharing his passion, and romantic walks on the beach with his girlfriend. He plans on moving to North County San Diego in the near future, where he can grow some roots in the community that he loves and serves.
